Guardian Ranks

Guardian Ranks is a new ranking system in D2. The are 11 ranks total. Guardian ranks reset each season but the game will still display your highest achieved rank to other guardians. You will also get rewards from the objectives required for each rank. We will help you complete the objectives needed to unlock new Guardian Ranks.

Overview

• Guardian Ranks replace the old “Seasonal Triumph Score” system as a visible measure of progress.

• Every player starts at Rank 1 (New Light) and can go up to Rank 11 (Veteran/Paragon).

• Your current Guardian Rank number is displayed next to your nameplate in-game — other players can see it in activities, lobbies, and the Tower.

Rank Structure

• Ranks 1–6: Designed to guide new players through the basics of D2 — activities, gear systems, and core gameplay.

• Ranks 7–11: Represent endgame mastery and community contribution — showing off your dedication, knowledge, and accomplishments.

Renewal Each Season

• At the start of a new season, most players reset down to Rank 6.

• Ranks 1–6 progress stays permanent once you’ve unlocked them.

• Ranks 7+ must be re-earned each season by completing seasonal or endgame challenges.
